Our History
Founded in 1915 by Judson H. Hilliker, Hilliker Van Service started as a small operation with just a pair of horses and a carriage. Over the years, the company grew and expanded its services to become an agent for North American Van Lines. In 1980, we added an additional 8,000 square feet of warehouse space, personnel, and vehicles to our operation. Our recent expansion includes a 12,000 square foot warehouse addition, which allowed us to cater to a growing customer base.
In 2002, we changed ownership, and our new management team continued to build upon a legacy of excellence and quality service. In recent years, we have expanded our services to include national office and industrial accounts, as well as quality options for our customers.

When planning your relocation, it's essential to consider several factors to ensure a successful and stress-free move. Here are a few things to consider:
- Timing: Give yourself time to obtain relocation estimates. We recommend scheduling visual surveys with our representatives 4-6 weeks before your intended relocation date.
- Visual Survey: It's crucial to have a representative from McLure Moving and Storage come to your home to provide you with the most accurate estimate. Ensure that your goods are not packed up, so our representative can see everything you intend to ship in order to accurately estimate the weight of your goods.
- Packing: If you're interested in getting an estimate for us to pack some or all of your goods, make sure you ask us to do the same amount for each item. If there are items that will need special care like crating, make sure you inform us so we can provide an apples-to-apples comparison.
- Inventory: Review the inventory sent to you by our representative, which is a list of your furniture and estimated carton count. Ensure that all the items you intend to relocate are listed. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us immediately.
